A: It is a measurement unit expressed in Kg, used for collection of air freight rate. The volume of shipment is always taken in 1:6 ratio (1 lit.=6dm3), and/or total volume of goods in cm3 is divided by 6000. If the result is higher than the real weight, then the result, not the real weight will be taken as the chargeable weight for payment. If the result is below the real weight, then the real weight will be taken.
Example:
5 packages of total weight 100 Kg, of which each has dimensions 60x50x50cm
Calculation:
5*60*50*50 = 750000cm3 ( 0,75 m3)
750000/6000=125 Kg – transport for 125 Kg is paid.
If packages have smaller dimensions, or if we take an example: 5/40x30x30 the calculation would be as follows:
5*40*30*30 =180000cm3/6000=30/Kg.
In this case the real weight is taken for calculation – 100 Kg. Our recommendation would be that you always take care that the package is optimal, which will significantly reduce air transport costs and make the price of your goods more competitive.
A: Primarily it is necessary to obtain the documents required for export and import procedure. Veterinary certificate issued by relevant vet inspection. Vaccination certificate not older than 7 days. Import license for countries that request import license (you can provide that information from the receiver at the final destination).
It is also necessary to obtain an appropriate transport cage (pet box). Transport costs are calculated on the basis of weight or volume of the cage (please see the question about chargeable weight).

A: Generally, there is no specific type of package that must be used. You need to pack your parcel in such a way so that it is primarily safe for air transport. Packaging must be sufficiently hard and of good quality to stand manipulation at the departure, transit and arrival airports. It is in your interest that the package is of high quality.
For special types of goods, it is necessary to obtain special packaging. The materials included in the category of dangerous materials (DGR) must be packed in a certified packaging with UN ICAO mark in accordance with rules published in the IATA publication „Dangerous Goods Regulation“.
